Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Bisman (Bisnis dan Manajemen): The Journal of Business and Management is a peer-reviewed journal, published three times a year. Bisman (Bisnis dan Manajemen): The Journal of Business and Management is published by Program Studi Manajemen, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Islam Majapahit, Mojokerto, Indonesia. This statement explains the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles in Bisman (Bisnis dan Manajemen): The Journal of Business and Management, including writers, editorial board, reviewers and the publisher. This statement is based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Guidelines for Publication
Publishing articles is an important building bloc in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. This is a direct reflection of the quality of work of the authors and the institutions that support them. The reviewed articles support and contain the scientific method. Therefore, it is important to agree on standards of ethical behavior expected from all the parties involved in publication: authors, editors of the journal, reviewers, publisher and the public.
Program Studi Manajemen, Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Islam Majapahit, Mojokerto, Indonesia as the publisher is responsible for guarding all stages of publishing the journal seriously and recognizes the ethical responsibilities and other responsibilities. The publisher is committed to ensure that the print ads and other commercial income has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. The publisher is also committed to assist communication with journal managers and/or other publishers, if deemed useful and necessary.
Decision of Publication
The editors are responsible for deciding the submitted articles to be published. The validity of the works and its significance for the researcher and the reader should always encourage these decisions. The editors can be guided by the policies of the board of editors of the journal and be restricted by law as should be upheld concerning defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors can negotiate with each other or the assessment team in making the decision.
Fair Treatment
The editors assess and review the manuscripts submitted based on their intellectual content regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.
Secrecy
The editors and staffs editors must not disclose any information regarding the submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the author, expert editors, reviewers and the publisher.
Notice and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials which are disclosed in the submitted manuscripts cannot be used by editors without written permission from authors.

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Evaluation of manuscripts by reviewers assists the journal editors in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also help writers improve.
Quickness
Chosen reviewers who feel not qualified to judge the manuscript or know that quick review will not be possible have to notify the editors.
Secrecy
Submitted manuscripts are to be treated as confidential documents. The document should not be shown or discussed with others without the authorization of the editors.
Objectivity Standards
Assessment should be conducted objectively. Personal critique to the author is not justified. Assessors should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Recognition of Sources
Assessors or reviewers should identify relevant published works that are not cited by the author. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by relevant citations. An assessor should also ask the editor's attention to the similarity or overlap between the manuscript assessed and other writings which have been published.
Notice and Conflicts of Interest
Confidential information or opinion obtained through assessment of reviewers must be kept secretly and should not be used for private purposes. The assessors should not review manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest that comes from competitive or cooperative relationships and connections, or with any author, company, or institution related to manuscript.
Author Liabilities
Reporting Standards
The author should present an accurate account of the significance of the work created and its discussion. Primary data should be represented accurately in the manuscripts. An article should include sufficient details and references to permit others to review the work. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Authenticity and Plagiarism
The authors should ensure that they have written scholarly works that are entirely original, and that they have quoted correctly when using the works and/or words of others.
Double Publication, Repetition and Coincidence
An author should not publish the manuscript which essentially describes the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Recognition of Sources
Fair recognition of the works of others must always be given . The authors should cite the influential publications in determining the nature of the submitted manuscripts.
Authorship of Works
Authorship should be limited to those who made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the study reported. All the people who made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If there are other people who participated in certain important aspects of the research project and manuscripts, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The author has to ensure that all appropriate co-authors are listed in the manuscript,, and that all authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed submission for publication.
Notice and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial conflict and other substantial conflicts that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All financial support for the project must be informed.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the published article, the author is obligated to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the article.
