Abstract

The number of mosques in each region has increased. This condition is very good for facilitating the implementation of worship. But the increase in places of worship or mosques also creates problems, especially for khutbah and billal. Currently, khutbah and billal are still dominated by the older generation. The program is carried out with khutbah and billal training. The training participants were drawn from three elements, namely 1) Mosque Takmir Representatives, 2) Mosque Youth, and 3) TPQ Ustadz around the mosque. This community service activity aims to grow and improve the knowledge and skills of the younger generation to become sermons and billals. The chosen approach method is training. The results of the assessment of understanding and effectiveness in the activity showed that 70% of the participants were able to understand the material and objectives of this khutbah and Bilal training. As many as 30% of participants were in the good category of understanding which was taken from the responses of each participant present. This khutbah  and Bilal training activity opened up insights that the role of the younger generation in Kepuhdoko Village must be given the opportunity and involvement in religious activities, especially in carrying out khutbah  and Bilal at the mosque.
