Abstract

This study is motivated by the numerous students who still struggle to use or apply the English language effectively, especially concerning techniques in English speech delivery. As part of language proficiency,speaking skills need to be actively developed. Field observations indicate that many students still lack optimal speaking abilities at the school level. Influencing factors include psychological barriers hindering students from speaking English, such as shame, fear of making mistakes, and low self-confidence. Another reason is the limited space for students to flourish despite the brevity of their learning sessions. Therefore, steps need to be taken to enhance students’ speaking skills beyond the core classroom hours. The community service activities have two main objectives. Firstly, to improve students’ English language proficiency through English language training, and secondly, to assists students in gaining more confidence in speaking English. Implementation methods for this community service include providing materials, training, and guidance. These activities are expected can enhance students’ motivation to improve their speaking ability particularly in English speech delivery.
