Abstract

The Pulp and Paper industry faces challenges related to environmental

issues and resource efficiency as well as competition in obtaining resources. This

study aims to analyze the criteria for selecting quality raw materials so that the

purchasing process can be efficient and effective which is then continued with the

determination of inventory policies. The use of the AHP method aims to determine

which priorities are important in the selection of raw materials, while the EOQ

method functions to determine inventory and purchasing policies. This study

provides recommendations on the ranking of criteria for selecting fluting medium

paper raw materials, as well as purchasing policies. The results obtained with the

first ranking of Strength 26.6%, price 23.1%, fiber 22.8, moisture 14.6% with a

high category of 7.9% and low 11.3%, waste/mixture 12.9%. While the results

obtained from the use of EOQ, the amount of purchases with EOQ is 17,498 tons

with a purchase frequency of 12 times in (1 year), the total cost of raw material

inventory with EOQ is Rp. 8,958,926. With the Safety stock that must be prepared

by the company as much as 6.59 Tons and Re Order Point of 6,636 Tons.
