Lightweight aquarium products based on acrylic and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials offer a combination of advantages in terms of strength, weight, and comfort. This study aims to develop innovation engineering for lightweight aquarium products based on acrylic and polyvinyl chloride using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Voice of Customer (VOC) approaches. The QFD method is used to translate customer needs and desires into technical product specifications, while VOC plays a role in identifying and prioritizing aspects desired by customers. The research process begins with data collection through interview questionnaires, observations and online surveys to identify their main needs related to aquariums. The data obtained is analyzed and used to develop the House of Quality (HOQ) as the main tool in QFD. At the design stage, the design is carried out using SketchUp software to ensure optimal dimensions and structures on the prototype. In the future, the use of acrylic and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials can be expanded to various industrial sectors. Acrylic and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) have great potential to be applied in the furniture industry, thanks to their superior properties of being lightweight, strong, and safe.
